Hi!This is another one of my paintings.
When I was painting this, the Hurricane Gustav was devastating some countries, causing serious damage and casualties in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Cuba end United States, so I decided to represent it.
It's a oil and the name is:
"THE CARAVEL"

A brilliant image of what might have been one of the many battles the
brave Portuguese Sailors would have faced in order to discover all
these new worlds.
Storms that nowadays still cause all these casualties and damage would
undoubtedly be the most defiant peril on their way to the "promised
land", on these caravels, that at a scale size to a storm like
Hurricane Gustav would seem nothing more than a nutshell.
To me this painting is a magnificent compliment to these resourceful
seamen, that with their courage drawn the lines of the new world.
